Wow- it has been a whirlwind since getting back from Alaska last week! What an amazing and fabulous place that is…
I returned to birthday parties, a visiting granddaughter, hundreds of emails to go through and gigantic to-do list. You know how that goes… on to the next crisis 🙂
Which brings me to my big announcement…
Scotty will be camping out on the Paper Arts+ Show floor!
The Paper Arts+ Show is sponsored by the Craft & Hobby Association and Crafter’s Home. This show is open to trade only and will be held from July 19- 23 in Schaumbug, IL.
Scotty hits the Paper Trail on July 17! We’ll drive from Virginia to Schaumburg, IL and set up camp in the Convention Center. If you are going to the show, please stop by and sign Scotty’s visitor’s ledger, see his latest improvements on the trailer tour, and sit down and make one of the #cre8time Make and Takes (and there may be an after hours event in the camper but you didn’t hear it from me!) We will be there for most of the show so make sure to come by and visit!
Craft manufacturers set up booths showing their newest releases and offer workshops educating retailers on how to use the new products. There will be two classes taught by me featuring dies from my new release- more info coming soon! There is also an evening event where you can create lots of samples to bring back to your store and show your customers the new product. On another night there is a Cash and Carry event. Lots going on! Will I see you there?
My designer friend Karen Bearse will be traveling with me and helping out- she does amazing mixed media work- just wait- you will love her…
While at the Paper Arts+ Show, I will be teaching two workshops: one for the Crafter’s Home event and one during the Paper Arts+ Show. I am so excited to share my new die cutting system that is coming out in November!
We will also be fitting in a trip to Prime Publishing/FaveCrafts to see good friend Simone Collins and shoot some videos. If you haven’t heard of FaveCrafts, you will want to check it out- they host TONS of free craft tutorials on the site. Here are some of the projects I designed on there. Subscribe to their newsletters here.
I also plan to visit my friend Connie over at Crescent Cardboard– they have a new product coming out that I think you will be very excited to see. Did I mention this is the leading matboard manufacturer in the world??? Can you guess why I am excited?
It will be fun to see Ann Butler of Bella Crafts Publishing. On September 24-27, there will be a crafting event called the Bella Craft Connection in Minneapolis at the Mall of America! I will be teaching at it along with many of my amazing designer friends- check out this lineup of teachers! Registration is open now… so treat yourself to an crafty retreat!
If you live anywhere in the Chicago area, sign up now for this class at Daisy Lane Scrapbooking & Craft Mall on our way out of town, Saturday, July 25. I love this Shabby Journal project that we’ll be making using the new Passport Book die and think you will too…
I’ll be posting photos and BTS on my Eileen Hull Designs Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter so make sure to LIKE my pages and check in to see what’s happening.
Now I have to get back to fixing up Scotty- I want him to look his best! If you would like to see posts from past trips, look here. See you on the Paper Trail!

Thanks Anne- it should be exciting! We will try and post as much as possible. My son just bought me these cool lenses that go over my iphone and will help me take better pics inside Scotty. I am excited to try them out!

Hi, Eileen, I met you briefly at the Snap Conference and have enjoy following you on social media since then. I saw Scotty on Periscope this week and would love to send you a little camper ornament to help decorate him for Christmas. I know it’s strange to ask someone for their address online but if you have a mailing address you wouldn’t mind sharing you could email it to me.
Thanks & have fun traveling!
Ann

Hi Ann! Yes I remember you… Aww I’d love the little camper ornament 🙂 My address is 1127 Devon St. Herndon, VA 20170. Thanks for following- in a bit of a bind right now. The truck is broken down in IL and we hope we can get someone to look at it on a Sunday- ugh! Life on the road…
