It has been quite the adventure on the Paper Trail 7, as expected…
My departure was not what I had in mind. Big Daddy started coughing and sputtering not TEN MILES after I departed my house at 9 PM at night en route to our first stop at The Scrapbook Super Station in Butler PA. My husband was in the hot tub and did not get my panicked call so I called my mechanic SIL Galen. He advised me to head his way in WV and he would take a look. We limped out to his place where he took a look. After changing the ignition coils, he took it for a drive. Sadly the diagnosis was that he could not repair that night- he needed more tools and time. AHHH! After going through options of renting a truck, a van, something- my daughter said, “Mom, take my car.” I loaded supplies for four classes thinking I would have to get back home to exchange vehicles and took off for Pittsburgh. I arrived late but we were able to still squeeze both classes and thank goodness, the people that attended were very understanding and rolled with it- WHEW!
During class, I got a call from my husband saying that the truck was done, and would I like to drive halfway back to meet him and we could make the exchange. YES! I love that man. So I headed south again, we met up at the Quality Inn, he slept for three hours and returned to work for an early meeting. I slept a little longer and then started driving to Chagrin Falls, OH for our next class at the Village Herb Shop, happy to be reunited with Big Daddy, Scotty and all of my supplies.
We arrived in time and set up. There was a lovely article in the local paper which drew a nice crowd. Delicious refreshments were served by Lee Ann, everyone arrived and we got to work!
I received a beautiful handmade pillowcase by Lisa…
and an adorable mini-trailer set from Lee Anne that my granddaughter and I are going to LOVE playing with!
Class posing on the amazing brick stairway of store.
Lee Anne and Maddy won the door prizes- card kits from sponsor Mothership Scrapbook Gal.
The next day I drove to Livonia, Michigan…
and arrived at Scrappy Chic. This is one BIG store folks!
I demo’d the Little B Washi Tape Luggage Tag from 6-8 PM.
On Saturday we made the Train Case
and Shabby Journal. I was especially honored to have my son-in-law’s mom Donna in class (she’s standing).
I don’t know about the other ladies but I had a great time…
All of my ColorBox Blends inks by Clearsnap- hope you try them!! 16 luscious colors and TEN TIMES as much ink as a stamp pad!
Chris (store owner) and her mom Linda saying goodbye… and hey- who’s that in the window???
Then Scotty and I were off for a few days at the Veara’s (my daughter’s in-laws). Donna and Dennis were such gracious hosts- we visited an orchard, where we had some fresh doughnuts and cider, then moved on to Tony’s (yes that is one pound of bacon on that BLT)
Frankenmuth is a cute little German town and home to Bronner’s- a gigantic Christmas store. Did some shopping there!
What a nice relaxing stay…

Loving your adventures, but not the breakdowns. That must have been frustrating, but it all worked out well. You are living the dream 🙂

Well done for getting going after the breakdown, it looks like you are having an amazing time despite the hiccup! Love those little camper vans (but I prefer to make my own with a certain lady’s dies…). Great photos too, love the one with the moose! I really need to Google this Jimmy Fallon character, I sure hope he knows how much exposure you are giving him! Hugs, Anne xx
