Welcome to the See you at CHA Blog Hop! One month from today, people from all over the world will gather in Anaheim, CA to see the latest new craft products, meet up with friends, buy new items for their store, take classes, network and also have fun! To celebrate, CHA is hosting a week long blog hop. Please come back every day and see all 60 different designers’ posts on the hop.
To celebrate 75 years of crafting, the CHA Designers have pitched in for this fantasitc giveaway to a lucky winner!
I am especially excited about CHA this year because
I will have a booth at the show!
In case you don’t know me, I am a licensed artist for Sizzix and Clearsnap. For the past two years, I have been travel teaching around the country in my vintage camper Scotty, visiting independent stores, art galleries, retreats and events.
We have had some pretty exciting adventures- for a glimpse of life on the road you can read about my last few trips here: #Paprtrail7 , #Paprtrail6 review and #Paprtrail6 conclusion.
Along the way, I have logged over 25,000 miles, stopped in 38 states, visited 74 stores and taught workshops, demos and make and takes, and also taught at rep shows, CHA trade shows and conferences. Here’s a quick video that gives a snapshot of Paper Trail 3
It has been a blast! In July, I had the amazing experience of driving Scotty on the show floor at the Paper Arts Show in IL.
The Paper Arts Show was fantastic- it went so well, that I am partnering again with the Craft and Hobby Association to celebrate their 75th anniversary!
Scotty and I are so excited to welcome you to the Eileen Hull Paper Trail booth! Make time to stop by and see us in Booth #231. If you forget the number, don’t worry- pretty sure we are the only trailer on the show floor 🙂 Here’s what will be happening:
- Fantastic #cre8time demos and Make and Takes by your your favorite CHA Designers every hour
- Hands on experience of products from my amazing Paper Trail partners
- Stop by for a special treat on Monday for “Snacktime with Scotty” where we’ll be drawing for this…
- HUGE GIVEAWAY worth over $500 retail brought to you by my generous Paper Trail sponsors!
- Bring your cameras- there will be tons of eye candy! My Inspiration Team has been going to town creating samples of my new Sizzix release and…
- Be the first to see the brand new tool I have developed with Sizzix
- Put a smile on a child’s face- make and decorate a crayon box using one of my Sizzix dies to be donated to Operation Christmas Child
- Don’t worry- if you can’t make the show, we will have behind-the-scenes videos and Periscopes for you
- Trailer tour and photo opps
- Instagram contest
Every time you participate in a #cre8time event- attend a demo, do a Make and Take, create a project for our charity sponsor, or enter our Instagram contest, you will get a ticket and be entered to win a giveaway basket worth over $500 full of Paper Trail sponsors’ products!
Right now Scotty is in the shop getting new shocks to prepare for the big trip across the country. I will be leaving my home in Virginia on Dec. 29 in order to get there in time to set up for the show on Jan. 6 in California. Who knows what will happen along the way?
Find out by journeying along with Scotty and I on #paprtrailCHA! Follow me on…

I forgot to say that I can’t live without my self healing craft mat, it is part of every project I create. I use the cutting side to cut, the grid on the cutting side to align and the reverse side for when I am adhering layers together AND as a sturdy base for my Big Shot when I’m die cutting and embossing too => YES, it is an AWESOME tool!!!

Fred says
The girls in Sizzix CS are the best. I just wish company execs considered consumer input when making changes, like retiring the STANDARD PLATFORM and redesigning the cutting pads. The Big Shot already takes up much more space than other diecutters, As most papercrafters have limited space the new extended platform makes this situation even worse. The bevelled pads reduce cutting area. The older pads also seemed to last longer. Also, I FINALLY got the Artful Dwellings die, but then found the Mini Openings is not available, I also got one of your dies that required another component die that has also been retired.
eileen says
Freddy- thanks for your thoughful comments! I am referring them to R & D and think they will be interested to hear. Can you tell me which die it was of mine that required a component that has been retired? We are bring some popular ones back and that would be helpful to know. Thanks!
Barb Housner says
