Sometimes things don’t work out the way you plan. I had a big two month trip out to the Pacific Northwest all set and was ready to announce the Paper Trail 10 schedule for September and October.
That all changed a few weeks ago when we found out that my Dad had pancreatic cancer. If you are not familiar with this kind of cancer, it is very aggressive- we are not sure how long we will have him with us. I drove up to NY to take him to the doctor and had some time to think. My Dad is very proud of me for doing these trips (in between telling me to BE CAREFUL!) and he said to go. So I have decided the trip is still on, but I will stop in Minnesota and turn around- that way I can get to NY quickly in case I need to. I can do the West Coast next year. So here is my schedule for the first two weeks and the return trip is in the works. Watch here as new stores are added.
I had the pleasure of visiting Dorothy’s Scrap-N-Stamp on August 12-13 to make sure Scotty and Big Daddy are behaving and all systems are go. Wow did we have fun, despite my last minute entrance due to bad traffic!
Here is the most updated schedule. If you live somewhere along the route, I would love for you to come by the store, take a class or just say hi. This is my favorite part of the trip- meeting all of you. Of course while we are there with all of those fun supplies, why not sit down and make something cool and learn new techniques while we’re at it? So here’s where I’ll be…

Thank you to all of you who have been praying, sending messages and thinking about me and my family at this time. It means so much and helps us to be positive for Dad.

My heart goes out to you! 2003 was a horrible year for us. We lost my father-in-law to pancreatic cancer, our 7 year old neighbor, Joseph, who we knew from birth to kidney cancer and a classmate of my sons to brain cancer within 4 months. Less than 3 months after my FIL’s diagnosis he left us. I am sending prayers and comforting thoughts your way! My dream is that, one day, Cancer will be a forgotten disease or one that we use instead of the death penalty for criminals.
Hoping to see that you add a store in Vermont to this year’s trip because I would love to meet you. Maybe you could see if any stores in Burlington, VT or maybe even Joann’s in Berlin Vermont ( 🙂 ) had a space for you to do a class! That would make me the happiest girl in the whole USA!
Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time!

Hugs to you and your family, Eileen! Please know I’m thinking of you all. If the return leg of your abbreviated journey brings you along the “north coast”, let us know! I’m sure LeeAnn would arrange a class for you (and we’d love to visit, of course). Take care and drive safe!
