I didn’t mean to… it was early, I hadn’t had breakfast and he stuck a gloppy impression thingy in my mouth and said something. I chomped down obediently. And then he yelled. I don’t think he said, “Bite”, when I think back. He did say some other things though. Under his breath. Oops.
By the end of the appointment 2 1/2 hours later, we parted friends. He still had his finger. I had my tooth.
Now I am thinking of what kind of peace offering I can bring him…. tune in tomorrow to see what I make him!
oh, this is quite funny! Nearly spewed my coffee on that, Eileen!
I think that getting bit is in his job description. Yeah, I’m pretty sure I read that somewhere. That’s why he gets paid the big bucks! 🙂
Don’t feel bad. All dentists know that getting bitten is one of the hazards of the profession. At least you parted off as friends after that memorable dental appointment.
Elizabeth Cull
There’s nothing to worry about, Eileen! As Elizabeth stated, it’s one of the hazards of their profession and it comes with the territory. You even gain a friend after that incident!
Kaley Baum
I know it’s a bit late, but I think our friends Elizabeth and Kaley are right. These dentists are already expecting their hands to be bitten. It’s just a matter of self-control and patience over their patient to keep these uncontrollable reflexes.
