I am so excited to announce that FINALLY my Sizzix Cherished die collection is available! And what a better way to introduce it than by showing some of the dies in action PLUS bonus cute baby pics 🙂
One of the things I really like about designing dies is seeing how people use them in their lives. Sara Parkes works in Key Accounts at Sizzix and is a super nice person- so kind and also very organized! She was telling me at CHA last year that her sister Amy was having a baby. I was so honored when Sara asked if she could borrow some of my Cherished dies (they were not available yet) to make the invitations and favors for the baby shower. I said sure and sent them off. When she emailed me the photos of the event, I was blown away at what a great job she did!
But even the best laid plans sometimes have to be adjusted. Amy went into labor six weeks early and had baby Landon before the shower happened! But they rolled with it and had a Meet the Baby party instead 🙂 Isn’t he cute?
Here are the shower invitations that Sara created. I love them- so sweet! She used the Lion & Monkey Framelits set and layered the animals over a background embossed with the new Pinwheel and Stripes Textured Impressions folder.
She also used the Elephant & Giraffe set to create four different invitation designs. I still can’t figure out which one I like best- so much cuteness!
Sara also used the Sizzix ScoreBoards Shoe, 3D to make little favors for everyone- awwww!
And here’s the Shoe used as a centerpiece!
I love how Sara used the Thinlits animals on the banner along with die cut letters and photos of little Landon.
You would never know Landon arrived early… Here’s a recent picture- what a happy guy!
Have you ever hosted a baby shower? Any fun tips tips or ideas you would like to share?
Thanks so much Sara for sharing the great pics and letting us see how you used these dies. Â I will have lots more Cherished projects coming soon! Glad you could stop by!

I am the proud grandma of Landon, his sister Kalea and also Sara’s mom. Isn’t being a grandma awesome? Congratulations to you!
Thanks for showing off Sara’s talent. Your dies and images really allowed her to make an awesome theme and decorations for the shower. You should see what she did for her wedding!
