Can you believe April is already coming to an end? What a month it has been! We kicked it off with the Release Party for Eileen Hull’s new Sizzix Chapter 2 Dies and a whole boatload of inspiration from the Teams. Each week has brought even more crafty goodness to get your creative juices flowing and we’re wrapping it up with a bang today.
The new Chapter 2 Dies from Eileen:
Front and center are Folio Journal accessory dies – the Waterfall & Tags and Book Binding Thinlits dies. But don’t limit their use only to journals – they work really well on cards and layouts too! And because you can cut as many as you would like, you can add these elements to larger and smaller journals as well.
In addition to the two Thinlits dies, there’s also the new Bigz L Camper 3-D ScoreBoards die just in time for summer travel! Cut two camper pieces and build it into a 3-D container (so much fun to decorate!) or use it on the front of the Folio Journal or card. As always, these dies are super versatile – just waiting for you to put your special touch on them and make them yours.
Our stellar Educator Team has some wonderful projects to share with us! First up is Jennie Atkinson with a lovely Folio Journal make. She has been experimenting with different ways to put the Folio together and shows us how to make it into a wrap journal! Don’t miss her video tutorial on her blog and all the detail photos of the fab insides.
Sarah Lizzie also made a beautiful Folio journal complete with a waterfall feature inside. (Made using Eileen’s Waterfall & Tags Die Set.) I love the spring colors and shabby chic look. Check out her tutorial on her blog for all the details and a peek inside!
Madeline Arendt is indeed having some Folio fun and she created this gorgeous tone on tone soft journal with an interesting substrate! What is it? You’ll just have to visit her comprehensive tutorial post to find out! This effect is so beautiful.
And a few more new Chapter 2 Dies projects from the Inspiration Team:
Maggi Harding felt compelled to make a pink Camper Trailer and we are so glad she did! How cute is this?? Maggi said she is going to use it as a holder for their RV keys and I think that is just perfect. Find all the details in her blog post.
Did you catch Part 1 of Tonya Trantham’s fabulous Alice in Wonderland album last week? (Hint: she used the Folio Die to make a landscape format journal!) Well, it is such an epic make she broke the tutorial into three parts. You can find Part 2 and Part 3 on her blog now.
The Book Binding Thinlits Die set can be used in any of Eileen’s journals, not just the Folio Journal Die. Julia Aston shows how to use the hinged binding in an old favorite, the Passport Book. See how easy it is and enjoy looking at Julia’s beautiful garden journal while you are at it!
Visit next week for a brand new month and a brand new theme!
