Did you catch Eileen Hull’s new dies in the live Release Party at the beginning of the month? We also had a Blog Hop with the Teams and there was certainly a ton of inspiration there with all the “new stuff” projects. The designers have been sharing the tutorials for their creations all month and today is the Sizzix Chapter 1 Release wrap up!
First, in case you missed it, the lineup of new dies:
Here is what Eileen has to say about them:
“I am so excited to share my Chapter 1 release with you! The dies in this collection are versatile, practical and fun to embellish. The Phone Stand, an XL ScoreBoards die, is a MUST – you need one for every room! Make for yourself, family, friends, for gifts or to sell – the die cuts the stand in one pass and is very easy to assemble.
The Book Box can be used to make a book or a box that holds A-2 greeting cards. What a great way to package handmade cards … or a quick and easy book! Add the Vintage Buttons folder to create vintage backgrounds for cards, journals, pages and tags. The 3D effect is stunning when you add a little Luster Wax to bring out the highlights…
The Snail Mail Thinlits die cuts a postal pane that coordinates with two of Eileen’s Snail Mail Maker Forte stamps. This die was designed to use on the front of an A-2 card! The dies may be found in local scrapbook stores and Eileen’s Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/EileenHull
Thanks to my teams for their gorgeous samples and support!”
A bundle of inspiration ahead… get a beverage!
Sarah Lizzie created a project that is beautiful and functional! She used the Book Box Die to create a holder for seed packets. Love it! This would make a great gift for a gardener friend. See the complete tutorial on her blog.
Jennie Atkinson had some fun with Gel Press printing and used her prints to make this gorgeous Book Box that holds mini books. Find a TON more detail photos on her blog, plus a tutorial video.
Also rocking her gel printing skills, Madeline Arendt used them to decorate the Phone Stand. I love all the colors and textures she achieved! You will be surprised at the substrate she printed on – clear contact paper! Visit her blog to see the tutorial.
Julia Aston created several beautiful cards using Eileen’s new dies. She has them posted now with the how-to so head on over to her blog to see!
Keep going, more to see…
Isn’t this treasure box made using the Book Box Die sweet? Mae is one lucky baby to receive this beauty created by Sue Eldred. (Mae is Sue’s first granddaughter, due to arrive in May.) Congrats to Sue and family; you can find out more about the box on her blog.
Many of us are still dealing with winter which makes this hot chocolate gift box by Angela Beaver just perfect! That cute little snowman is hiding a whole stash of cocoa packets. Yum! See more here.
Sharon Curtis demonstrated how to make this Book Box during her show on Create & Craft! I love those fresh spring colors. She made a matching card to fit inside and you can see more in her post.
The Snail Mail Die Set is a star in this scrapbook page by Susie Bentz! It makes a great grid for the page structure and how cool is it that the photos are fit onto the stamp shapes? Find all the how-to steps on Susie’s blog.
Whew! This Sizzix Chapter 1 release has been epic.
Next month we will have a new theme but you can be sure Eileen Hull’s new dies will still be making an appearance!
