Another beautiful day in NY, but it was time to move on…
I left with a well-caulked (and hopefully water-tight) Scotty and some happy memories of the visit.
Today I visited the Heirloom Stamp Show in Springfield MA. Had a moment of confusion when I pulled in the entrance and noticed a sign that said Gun Show Today.
I asked the parking lot attendant what the deal was on she said “Oh yes, there is a gun show and rubber stamp show”. Hmmm.
I found the correct show and walked it. I wound up running into store owners from Great American Stamp Store, BellaArt, Stamp and Scrap Nest, Kept Creations and Stamp Happy. We had some interesting discussions about the struggles store owners are faced with. Enlightening to hear thoughts from their perspectives. That is a tough job, my friends. Buy local!
Then I was en route to the lovely home of Michele Muska. Her home is situated on a pretty lot with beautiful gardens and outbuildings. She made a delicious meal for us and I am not sure of the name if it but I was quite hungry and gobbled it right down! We stayed up chatting till late. Michele is so creative- I don’t think there is any craft she hasn’t tried! It is so much fun to see all of her supplies and projects throughout her charming home- I want to just look at everything- so nosy! I also met her Mom, who lives next door, her husband, son and nephew (who backed my truck and camper in for me) Everyone is so welcoming and nice. It feels like home.
Also I forgot to mention that I got to drive my brother-in-law Mike’s Corvette yesterday. I felt like hot stuff. Very smooth car to drive.
Time for bed… Stay tuned to see what happens of Day 8!
